I feel so blessed to be a part of a couples wedding day. It truly is a honor to be a part of a couples wedding. They are choosing you to be a part of their special day. You are taking the pictures that they will show to their grandchildren someday. You are present at the beginning of a legacy. Mike and Xochitls wedding was beautiful. Working with this couple truly was a pleasure. You could tell just by looking at these two how in love they are. And the love shared between the families was so evident through out the whole day. Congratulations again You two !! Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your special day .

I Quit !

thats right ladies and gentlemen. i quit !! i have had it with photography. never again will i worry about shutter speed or aperture ! I will NOT stay up until 3 aM editing pictures ever again !

JUST KIDDING ! happy April fools day everyone !! Seriously as if i could ever quit. Photography is like breathing to me. I need my camera as much as I need air. I need it like a fish needs water or a car needs tires or a......

well you get it.

Happy April ! I love April for so many reasons. April is my birthday month. This year i will be celebrating the third anniversary of my 25th birthday. More on my feelings about that later. I also love April because of Easter. I know Easter is not always in April but most of the time it is. i remember my 16th birthday actually fell on Easter day. i was so upset because no where was open. And all my friends were busy with their families. I remember my mom going out of her way to make the day special for me. Last year my birthday was on Easter too. Only this time i wasn't so upset about it.
April is a fun month all around. Speaking of fun , I had a blast with Laura and Ash a few weeks ago on Mill Ave. The weather was perfect for picture taking and these guys were up for anything. I can't wait to photograph their wedding in May. And just for fun here is your slideshow !

JoAnna and Sam [ Arizona engagement photographer ]

Have you ever heard the story about the girl the boy , and the tow truck driver ? Stop me if you've heard this one before. I was so excited to travel to Greer, Arizona for JoAnna and Sams engagement session. I even talked my Hubby into going with me as my assistant. We started on our way Saturday morning and got about half way there when my hubby asked " do you smell something?". It took about 30 seconds after that for the steam to start rising up from the engine. We were six miles away from the nearest town. We tried to get the good ol' minivan to make it up the mountain a few more miles.

But , no such luck. So, we called a tow truck driver and headed back down the mountain with the chain smoking driver named Earl. okay , so I don't remember what his name really was, but Earl seems fitting.

I had to cancel the shoot for that day . Thank goodness JoAnna and Sam were understanding and we rescheduled for the next day.

It was all worth it for as cute as these pictures turned out .Taking the pictures in the snow was such a cute idea .Thanks for a great day you two. I can't wait for the wedding :)
